The A to Z challenge is around the corner!

And honestly, all I have is a theme and that's about it. This year, it really snuck up on me. Last year I had so much prewritten, but I did have a lot of free time back then. Gotta say, kinda happy my Peace Corps service is over. I loved it, but still.

If you have no idea what the A to Z challenge is, no worries. It's a pretty simply concept - everyday in April a massive amount of bloggers post one post a day (minus Sundays) with each day featuring a letter of the alphabet. There's still time to sign up if you want!

This is my...third? year participating. I've always enjoyed it. It gets my creative mind going and gives me an opportunity to meet new people. Not that I don't already have a problem keeping up with so many blogs....

Oh well.

Anyway, today is the Theme Reveal Blogfest! It's for those who are crazy enough to go the extra mile and not just post everyday in April, but to do so around a central theme. Today, we're announcing just what our themes are.

And this year, my theme is......SPACE!

Or more accurately, planets in science fiction. My current WIP, and I'll talk more about that once it's through the first round at CC, is a SF YA story so I figured I'd do something in line with that.  The only problem is, life has been really busy and I sorta kinda haven't been able to research planets for every letter of the alphabet.

Can anyone help me out and think of any off the top of their head?

  1. ... the final frontier... Sorry, I'm watching Star Trek: TNG, so it seemed natural when I read Space! :-)

    1. TNG is my favorite Star Trek series. And yeah, my mind goes in that direction a lot too.

    1. Hey, a groaner is better than nothing. But now I totally have to sneak this into a conversation with my dad somehow.

  4. Great topic! I hope you are able to get ready in time. For some reason, I actually cannot think of any of the top of my head... oh wait, lets go with the most generic scifi planet ever... Tatooine :P

    1. Oh man, I wonder if I could just use Sar Wars to fill up half the letters. Tatooine, Alderan, there's so many!

  6. WHAT?! Plantets in science fiction? I've already thought of about 20 that I simply love. I can't wait to see if any of them make it into your posts!

  7. I love science fiction, but I'll admit I sometimes neglect reading it in favor for fantasy. Hopefully your posts will tip me off to some great books that will steer me back. ;) Good luck with the challenge!

  10. I love space, so I definitely will be spending a lot of time here. I know moons don't count as planets but some planets have crazy cool moons if you get desperate. ;) I just signed up today I've been so busy, let alone have time to figure out what to write. But that's half the fun, right?
